Solve & Sustain began with a mission to combat the environmental harm of food waste. It started with biking to local restaurants to collect surplus meals, but has since evolved into a community network dedicated to promoting sustainability. We now connect restaurants, schools, and nonprofits to donate excess food and provide educational resources that inform students about waste reduction. Our aim is to create a model that any community can adopt, ensuring that individuals and organizations at every level are actively involved.
Each year, billions of pounds of food are wasted, while millions go hungry. When food is discarded into landfills, it not only wastes valuable resources but also contributes to 58% of landfill methane emissions. We want to combat this through both prevention and education, working at the community and individual levels.

From local food establishments addressing waste, to schools that open their doors to us, to non-profit partners that help along the way, our work wouldn't be possible without their support.
