At Solve & Sustain, our goal is to help small food businesses combat food waste. By donating surplus food that would otherwise be thrown away, we help those in need and protect the environment at the same time.

We primarily focus on helping smaller food businesses donate surplus food because they often lack the resources to do so themselves. Additionally, individual restaurants often don't have enough surplus food on their own to make donations efficient, so we focus on connecting these establishments to coordinate larger donations.
We operate on a business-to-nonprofit system. As an entirely volunteer-run organization, our volunteers reach out to small businesses for donations, connect with non-profits that will accept the cooked food, and transport the food from businesses to non-profits. We are extremely grateful for our volunteers, who ensure that the process runs as smoothly as possible.
One of our key goals is to mitigate the climate crisis by addressing food waste. When food is thrown away, it gets sent to landfills, where it rots and produces methane in the process. Thus, donating food that would otherwise be wasted helps lessen food waste's environmental impact.
